This fascinating book launched my interest into how the brain learns and changes based on experience, perception, and environmental factors. His chapter on movement was particularly interesting to me as it highlights the strong correlation to both movement and learning.

Our brain is a fascinating machine. What makes teaching such a complex and interesting job is that each child learns differently. Although there has been much progress in brain research and learning how we learn, there will always be a puzzle child that pushes us, as educators, to stretch our own learning and determination to reach every child where they are at.
