About Sara Gallegos

Sara Gallegos currently teaches in Northglenn, CO, and has for the past two years in a 3rd grade classroom. Prior to that, she taught a multi-age 1st/2nd grade classroom in Denver, CO. Sara's background as a teacher is a-typical, in that she spent 5 years prior to teaching working for business consultancies in the Denver area. This unconventional background has equipped Sara with a unique view into education, what students need to be successful in the world, and how people learn. During her first teaching year, Sara quickly learned the power of music in learning new skills. Those students who previously had a difficult time with a particular concept, caught right on when put into a song or rhythm. Thus began this project.

This CD is meant to supplement already existing material, helping students connect to material in a new and different way. The length of songs is suited for a fast-paced classroom and meant to be a short, quick reinforcement. The songs range from all subjects, including literacy, math, science, and social studies.

Sara holds a B.A. in Computer Science from Ripon College and a Masters of Education from Regis University.
